Privacy Policy
Effective date: 25 February 2026
CourierLog ("the App") is developed and maintained by Paul Allen ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how the App handles your information.
1. Data We Collect
CourierLog stores the following data that you enter:
- Work day records: dates, odometer readings (start and end mileage), parcel counts (total and low-rate)
- Your settings: per-parcel pay rates and tax year start date
That is everything. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information.
2. Where Your Data Is Stored
All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data never leaves your iPhone. We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud services that receive your data.
If you use Apple's built-in device backup (iCloud or local), your CourierLog data may be included in that backup. This is managed entirely by Apple under their privacy policy.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No crash reporting sent to us
- No advertising identifiers
- No location data
- No cookies (this is a native app, not a website)
- No third-party SDKs that collect data
4. Third-Party Services
CourierLog does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs that process your data. The App operates entirely offline.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to anyone. Since your data never reaches us, we have nothing to share.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. You can delete individual entries within the App, or delete all data at once using the "Delete All Data" option in Settings. Uninstalling the App removes all stored data from your device.
7. Children's Privacy
CourierLog is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Since the App collects no personal information from any user, no special provisions are required.
8. Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device and we have no access to it, you are in full control. You can view, modify, or delete any data at any time directly within the App.
For users covered by UK GDPR or EU GDPR: because we do not collect or process your personal data on any server, there is no data held by us to request access to, rectification of, or deletion of.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
